Finding the best dog house for my furry friend

August 30th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Here in the lower United States summer is coming to an end but that means that we still have some of our sweatiest days to look forward to. I have been thinking about getting my dog a dog house and want to find one that will be both cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Fortunately, I  don’t have to worry too much about rain but it would be best to find one that sits off the ground to keep my dog warm and dry.

I have a medium size dog so I think a midsize dog house would be best. I always think about my first dog house, it was wood and the roof lifted off in one piece so it could be cleaned out. It was fine for the winter but hot in the hotter months. My dog always seemed to prefer to dig a hole under the dog house and sleep there during the summer! These days there are all sorts of dog houses made in a variety of materials and I wonder which kind would be the coolest? I have seen some made from thick plastic and others made from wood with insulation, or even some made from wood but with slats or windows for ventilation. There is even a small air conditioner you can buy and attach to dog houses to really keep your dog cool!

I think that because of the location I plan to put the dog house, it is already shady and cool enough under the eaves of the house that I can do without an insulated dog house and probably just get a standard wood or plastic dog house. Hopefully my dog will like his new house and will not continue to try to sleep in my flowerbeds!

Wireless Power Technology – Will it inspire the future electricity industry?

August 30th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

If you were to guess, would you agree

Or will cutting the power cable be too farfetched to catch on?

It seems highly likely.

You resolve what you suppose will take place.

According to Yahoo News, Intel described to undergo programs to write out electric cables with a radio receiver power system. This applied science may connote the follow up stride to be innovative converts to powered products and prescribe going up of fresh elecrical widgets.

Once more, the inhabitants of earth may believe that this new technology is going to be.

Whenever this engineering is used then approaches may be established in cellular phone fields. As hdtv plasma tv development straightaway takes to interchange their day by day absorption from increasing the size of high definition tv towards the expanding of thin screen liquid crystal display and the width reduced projection screen of hdtv plasma tv display. This will not solely make up high definition but will fit into microscopical electronic gadgets and as their electrical expenditure will be so minute it might very well be inferred that wireless power may be the way you will battery charge your a wireless power grid cell phone or radio receiver gaming computer of the thing to be.

Finding The Right Fishing Gear

August 30th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

As with most sports or activities, the right gear is always needed. An activity like fishing requires certain gear to get the job done successfully. Depending on what kind of fishing and how advanced the fisherman is would determine the appropriate gear. In a simple fishing situation such as freshwater fishing, there is a simple list of equipment that is required. Learn about all types of fishing gear at our fishing equipment site

The basic fishing gear is a pole, a rod, a line, a sinker, and a bobber, a hook and some bait. Almost any kind of poles can be used, for a specific kind of fishing it would be best to consult with a fishing gear retail store. For rods any type will work. The basic rod is 6 feet long and has medium weight, it is considered an all-purpose rod.

A rod is considered to be a long, straight, flexible pole that an angler used to cast bait. These rods are usually made of bamboo, fiberglass or graphite. Fiberglass rods are the most popular with beginners. They are relatively inexpensive, not easily broken and do not require much maintenance. Next is the fishing line, the material is nylon. There is a wide range of fishing lines. A typical line will hold a fish up to four pounds without breaking. Choosing the appropriate fishing line will depend on your fishing situation. What type of fish are you looking to catch? What is the condition of the water?

The sinkers are weights that are used to cast lures and drop the bait in the bottom of the water where the fish swim the most. Sinkers are used together with bobbers hold the line at a given point. Two situations are important; the depth of the water and the speed of the current determine how much weight is needed to hold the bait in front of the hungry fish. Again a bobber and a sinker work like a team, a sinker takes the bait to the desired depth of water, while the bobber holds it there. The purpose is to allow the fisherman to adjust the depth of the water to anywhere he wants or needs it to be. Finally, bobbers come in different sizes to accommodate the bait. The most important piece of fishing gear is the hook it is shaped like the letter J. They come many sizes and almost any type of will work. The hook is what is used to put on the bait. The main attraction to the fish is the bait. The bait is the final piece of fishing gear needed to successfully catch fish. Something fish would love to eat. The best bait for fish is a nightcrawlers or worms including earthworms. Earthworms are the most commonly used forms of bait. You should also consider what types of fishing lures to use.

Your basic fishing gear is important to have a successful fishing experience. Without the above items, you may or may not catch the fish you want.

3 Principles For The Success Of Any Venture

August 30th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Is success an outcome or a long and neverending journey? Is it worth struggling for that one thing or does it make more sense to view our actions and our triumphs as parts of one journey? It’s definitely a journey.

This is what most of the people involved in affiliate marketing programs, and other ventures as well, fail to recognize. Consistency, patience and the 3 success principles that I will talk to you about are what it’s all about.

Working in affiliate marketing, similar to all the other businesses out there, can give us a lot of insight about what are the causes and reasons for someone’s success or failure. I believe that the following principles are of great importance and should be taken seriously and implemented.

#1 The principle of intention

What do you want to achieve? What do you want to create and accomplish? How much money do you want to make? This principle states that your intention must be clear, measurable, and you must have it as a vision of what you want, not of what you don’t want. At a certain point, I decided that I wanted to crete an affiliate marketing training site that can provide value and make me money. So, I decided to map out and clearly lay out what I wanted and what had to be done.

#2 The principle of attention

This principle is the most important part of achieving anything. Once you have created your vision, you must live with it 24 hours a day. That means that your focus has to be upon the things that can bring you closer to your vision, and only on such things. Productive thinking, to sum it up. If I want my affiliate training site to work and be a success, I have to focus upon the things that will make that happen.

#3 The principle of giving

“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think this quote needs no further explanation.

These are the 3 key principles for success in any venture, and affiliate marketing can be very fun when approached with this perspective.

Your honor, I rest my case.

Kingsdown Mattresses Offer New Computer Technology and High Standard Models

August 30th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

A lot of well-known mattress companies such as Sealy and Serta constantly attract much attention from consumers due to their reputation. Nevertheless, there are many lesser known but just as notable mattress brands that are worth looking into. One of these is the Kingsdown range which offers several particularly good mattresses.

The most recent series of Kingsdown mattresses use state of the art technology that is called Dormo Diagnostics. This computer system uses compiled research conducted on hundreds of thousands of people on sleeping patterns. When purchasing a Kingsdown mattress the person looking to buy can answer a selection of questions and lie down on a diagnostic bed. The Dormo Diagnostics system can then recommend the most suitable mattress for the customer based on the extensive research.

One of the more popular models is the Body System mattress. This mattress uses a full coil system created from high-tempered steel. A lot of other brands also use systems that are similar, but a Kingsdown mattress targets at using the latest computer technology to create mattresses that are among the most comfortable on the market.

Furthermore there is also the mattress called the Kingsdown Crown Imperial Plush. The model uses coils located around the perimeter of the box spring and mattress, to make sure that sleepers are more comfortable, supported, and stable. The technology is referred to as the ProEdge Spring System. A further benefit of buying this mattress is the covering top layer which is made from conjugate fibers and quilting foam, meaning less sagging to the mattress. Furthermore, there are two extra layers of Flexatron, Convoluted Qualatex, and Supersoft Foam for a low pressure sleep.

The third range is the Kingsdown Partner Perfect, which as the name suggests is created for people that sleep with partners. The target is to lessen the wave effect that appears when one of the partners move.

The Kingsdown company offer a quality collection of mattresses and great technology. They are a brand that you should look into further the next time you compare mattress reviews for certain models and brands.

Diabetic Foods

August 29th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

If you are diabetic then you probably feel that you have been shunted into a little box and are now branded diabetic and because of that have to eat bland boring food.

The truth probably is though that this is far from the case, however the downside to that is that whilst major food manufacturers will promote delicious and healthy diabetic food that is suger free is it really any good for you?

In fact come to think of it, since when did food manufacturers ever really have our best interest at heart, because at he end of the day they want us to keep eating their processed product so can their suger free options really be that good for us?

Well, probably not, although there will always be the exception to the rule, buit on the whole probably not.

The reason I say this is because to make processed food have a decent shelf life , and be tasty – it generally needs things like sugar, sodium, flavouring enhancers etc..

So if you start taking these out then the flavour does not taste so good and something else has to nbe done to compensate it, so in the case of diabetic food – if it is going to be made sugar free then it is probably going to get some kind of artificial sweetner in it, and if you do some research on some of those then you may feel more inclined ot go back to normal sugary foods anyway.

But my big point here, in a roundabout kind of way is that if you want to follow some kind of diabetic diet plan, then really your best bet is to banish all processed food from your cupboards and use fresh produce to make your own meals.

And I promise you it is not as hard as you think, but as with any change in diet make sure you also get the correct medical advice from your physician before you start to make changes

The Right Debt Consolidation Loan

August 29th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

If you have ever been in deep debt before, you know what a traumatic thing it can be. I am speaking from experience as it wasn’t that long ago that I had a real debt problem that I am only just getting over. You see what made it worse was that it wasn’t all at once, it was a slow process. Although in the scheme of things 30,000 dollars may not seem much but when you come to make the payments every month it soon becomes very real. Many people just quit at this point but fortune shined on me in the form of a consumer debt consolidation loan which I arranged and saved the day.

You see, bad credit loans were all I could get even though I had a decent well-paying job; it was just because I was awful with money. I know I am not alone in this but when I set my mind to having something, I would go out and get it straight away. At first it was only minor debt, which I could pay off at a later point.

Slowly over a long period these tiny amounts I kept promising to pay off, just kept growing. Someone must have been watching me because just as it was getting out of hand I started receiving invitations for companies that deal with consumer debt consolidation loans. Although I hadn’t contacted anyone, companies offering consolidation loans were certainly interested in helping me out of my troubles. You should always be wary when dealing with financial institutions especially those that contact you because they know you have huge debts.

The odds of finding a decent company without some knowledge is quite low in fact you will be lucky to find one out of every four you contact, or contacts you to be honest. You can find many people that have ended up in a worse situation than they started in by dealing with an unscrupulous consumer debt consolidation loan company. Their story sounds so good that you are bound to believe them and accept their offer which will probably turn out to be a lie. Don’t give up at this hurdle though because persistence pays off as it did for me with the company that I finally decided to deal with.

Luckily my previous career experience in the financial sector helped me locate the right company. It was this knowledge that helped finally sort this problem and locate a consumer debt consolidation loan company that was able to help. It has taken two years but I can honestly say, I am not clear yet but I am now on the road to financial recovery, finally.

Parvo Virus – 13 Must-Read Facts

August 29th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized
  1. 80% of dogs that are infected by Canine Parvovirus that are untreated die in four to five days – with the older 2a and 2b strains of the virus.

  2. Fully-vaccinated dogs, including both puppies and adults, are being infected by and dying from the most recent 2c strain of the Parvovirus.

  3. For reasons nobody yet understands, some breeds, such as Labrador Retrievers, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Black & Tan Coonhounds, Doberman Pinschers and German Shepherds are more prone to the Parvovirus.

  4. The four worst states for Canine Parvovirus outbreaks are California, Texas, Arizona and Florida, although every state in the US, including Hawaii and even Alaska, and especially the southern states, are being affected.

  5. The Parvo virus is incredibly hardy, can live in the ground for up to 20 years and can survive extremes of temperature, including frost and desert climates.

  6. If you take your dogs to the vet’s for treatment, your bill may be anywhere from $500 to over $6,000 per dog.

  7. You can only expect a 50% – 80% chance of survival if you take your dog to the vet.

  8. It is now believed that the latest 2c strain may be airborne, even though Parvo has historically been transmitted through contact with infected vomit and feces.

  9. It has always been suspected that Canine Parvovirus evolved from a similar feline virus, feline distemper, so it is ironic that cats can now be infected by the latest 2c strain of Canine Parvovirus.

  10. Dogs that are infected by the latest 2c strain of Canine Parvo can die within one day of symptoms first appearing, with some dogs dying in only six hours.

  11. The Parvo virus can incubate for anywhere from three days to 15 days, although five to seven days is most common. This means that your dog could be sick for up to two weeks and you would not even know it, as there would be no visible symptoms. However during this time, the virus is growing in strength, ready to wreak havoc on your dog’s body.

  12. Ironically, administering a Parvo virus vaccine, especially the very first shot, can actually increase the chance of your puppy contracting this virus. This is because the maternal antibodies inherited by the puppy can kill off the modified live virus contained in the vaccine, but as shots work in part by lowering the body’s natural immune system, this actually opens up the puppy to infection by the full, live virus (not to mention other infections as well).

  13. A few breeds of dogs, notably Cocker Spaniels and Poodles, appear to be at a reduced risk of contracting Canine Parvo, although this does not mean that they will not be infected.

If you’re looking for products you can use for home Parvo treatment, or for Parvo prevention, then you should check out our Value Packs, which contain Parvaid, Vibactra Plus, Life Cell Immune Support and, in the Gold Value Pack, Doggie Pain Relief.

Natural Herbal Sleep Aids for Your Complaints

August 29th, 2008 by stu pendous | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Valerian is a herb that has long been used as a natural sleep aid. Unlike many other sleep medications, valerian is not believed to be addictive or cause grogginess in the morning. It is usually taken between an hour before bedtime and it takes about two to three weeks of regular use to work. It shouldn’t be used for more than three months at a time as there could be side effects that may include mild indigestion, headache, palpitations, and dizziness. Although valerian is available in tea recipes and liquid extracts, most people don’t like the smell of valerian and prefer taking the capsule form. Valerian shouldn’t be taken with many medications, especially those that depress the central nervous system such as sedatives and antihistamines; it shouldn’t be taken with alcohol, before or after surgery, or by people with liver disease. To be absolutely sure, you should consult with a qualified health practitioner first before deciding to take valerian for your sleep disorder.

Using herbs is the safest way to perform a mild colon cleansing. Herbal colon cleanser helps in removing fecal matter, prevent toxin formation, kill harmful bacteria and parasites, and improve the function of colon muscles to promote natural and regular bowel movements. Basically, all herbs in colon cleansing recipes have liver cleansing and cathartic actions. Aloe leaf, senna, cascara sagrada, ginger, and cayenne pepper help eliminate impurities from the colon while fennel and garlic have purifying action on the colon as they help eliminate harmful bacteria and prevent gas formation. Many effective colon cleansing teas are sold in ready to use packets; you can use them in moderation to prevent too frequent bowel movements that can cause dehydration.

Ginseng has earned enormous praise among natural health practitioners as a way of relieving hot flashes, one of the most aggravating symptoms of menopause. Ginseng-which is available in tinctures, teas and tonics-works best on an empty stomach and can be taken before breakfast and before dinner. It would do you good to avoid eating fruits for two hours after taking ginseng and that you take it separately from any vitamin supplement. Ginseng is not recommended for women with high blood pressure or diabetes and those with asthma or emphysema as it has histamine liberating properties.
