Massage Therapy Career

June 29th, 2009 by stu pendous | Comments Off | Filed in Fishing Tackle

Considering a career in massage therapy? Most massage therapists are long term practitioners althought the profession will not suit all personality types. There is a big difference between the various modalities and there is an extremely big difference between working as a private practitioner and working in a hotel setting. Deep tissue massage for example takes considerably more physical strength than Swedish massage.

Massage therapy careers can be rewarding – not just financially speaking, but on a more personal level. The satisfaction of making another person feel well, or better about themselves is very rewarding. Unfortunately, many institutional employers will take advantage of this and pay what many would consider to be under the value of the therapist.

The best paying gigs seem to be the least rewarding emotionally. But that should not put you off from choosing a career as a massage therapist. It is possible to earn a healthy income in massage, but as a private individual it will take time to build a client base, whereas a spa has a ready made client list.

Whether you choose to learn traditional Eastern techniques or some of the more modern energetic based modalities will depend on your ultimate goals. In many countries and US states, the training requirements are quite stringent to be able to be licensed, but this is not always necessary to be able to practice as a body worker.

The most rewarding aspect of being a massage therapist is the knowledge that you have helped another person in their journey through life.

Saving Big on Your Business Phone Service.

June 29th, 2009 by stu pendous | Comments Off | Filed in Fishing Tackle

Traditional Phone Lines

If you have a small business and all you need is plain old telephone service, a discount long distance service is the way to go. These providers can offer businesses a great deal of savings and quality service. They save you money by buying up minutes from the big providers in bulk, then sell it to you at a discount.

T1 Circuit

A T1 Line is a big commitment. It is used mostly by medium sized businesses who need a reliable connection, either to the internet or to their phone system. Buying the wrong T1 Line can be a costly mistake. Costing anywhere from $300 to more than $600, you need to get it right. That is why it is critical that you go with a top level T1 provider, such as Power Net Global, Acc Business, and Qwest Communications.

OC3 Connection

OC3 service is like a T1 line in that it is a dedicated circuit to your local phone company, but that is where the similarities end. An OC3 Line is used by much bigger companies to supply many phones and computers with a reliable connection. An OC3 line can cost from $3,000 to nearly $10,000 depending on several factors. Needless to say, if you screw up and buy OC3 service from an unreliable provider, your business could suffer for years.

hospitality management online university, online community college, ask how to

June 28th, 2009 by stu pendous | Comments Off | Filed in Fishing Tackle

Many people think that the distinctive feature of community colleges is that they offer two-year degrees, but they differ from four-year colleges in many other ways as well.

In fact, community colleges meet the needs of many students that are not as well served by four-year institutions. That is why they have grown so much in recent history.

The low cost of community colleges has helped attract students who may have otherwise failed to continue their educations beyond secondary school. This extends to vocational studies such as hospitality management online university that can help further one’s career as well. In particular, community colleges seem to enroll a far greater percentage of adult students, minority students, and part time students than four year colleges and universities.

Aside from very affordable tuition and fees, community colleges attract students with a very simply, non-threatening application process. First of all, their open admissions policies assure admission to all high school graduates and/or everyone who has earned a GED. And, community college applicants need not take the ACT or SAT, submit letters of recommendations, or write essays. Community college admissions policies reflect their mission; to afford easy access to all.

Four year colleges and universities, particularly those which are most selective, require applicants to submit their admissions applications and supporting credentials well before the beginning of the semester in which they hope to enroll. At a community college, enrolling the day before classes begin is unlikely to be a problem for a student willing to spend a little time in line.

Generally, an online community college admits all applicants. But, before beginning in some degree programs, it may be necessary to complete courses in prescribed subject areas or otherwise demonstrate program-related proficiency.

A big community college selling point is that community colleges focus on offering classes at times and places most convenient for working adults. Only online colleges offer more flexibility. Find out more at our ask how to guide.

Call this recent Flu whatever you want; Mexican flu 2009, or H1N1 virus it is a spreading illness

June 28th, 2009 by stu pendous | Comments Off | Filed in Fishing Tackle

It does not matter how you call the epidemic; Mexican flu, or H1N1 virus; it will not affect what harm this disease will have on the human population.

In keeping with the normal method the world has been using we will call this new virus the Mexican flu because in the long term these flu outbreaks have taken on a locality name such as Spanish Flu, Asian Flu, Hong Kong flu etc.

Due to the world wide spread of the Mexican flu and fatalities in 2 nations in the same region, the World Health Organization raised the phase alert to pandemic level five. This level indicates that this organization believes the growth of the Mexican flu to infect the world is imminent.

For your safety you should read the following W.H.O. Checklist:
World Health Organization (W.H.O.)
Department of Communicable Disease
Surveillance and Response
Global Influenza Programme
WHO checklist for influenza pandemic preparedness planning.  Starts out with “Some time in the future.”  (Note: that some time is now!)

In a Presidential News Conference about the Mexican Flu, April 29, the president is asked “if the we should close the border?”  President Obama says, “Wash your hands, take precautions but because this is a new strain we have to be cautious, but not to panic.”  He does not think we should close the border.

An agent who was on the security advance team for President Obama’s recent trip to Mexico is believed of having become infected the Mexican flu and he passed it on to his family in Anne Arundel County, MD.  The agent is on the staff of Energy Secretary Steven Chu, who traveled with Obama to Mexico on April 16. He appears to have transmitted the virus to his wife, son and nephew, press secretary Robert Gibbs said.

Just the talk about and inability to agree on how to properly call the pandemic of the Mexican flu 2009 shows that even this little detail will cause controversy in the world today.  The worst of the Mexican flu of 2009 is still before us.  We hope that the governments of the world get their acts together and concentrate on what is important, saving human lives.

Get A Better Night’s Sleep With An Anti Snore Pillow

June 27th, 2009 by stu pendous | Comments Off | Filed in Fishing Tackle

You will snore no more with the right pillow. Anyone afflicted by snoring, or a spouse that snores, has certainly looked into ways to solve the problem. There are pillows on the market that target this very problem. Snore no more pillows are one of the options out there for people who snore. For some, snoring is caused by poor sleeping positions that restrict the airways. These pillows that are available for purchase are specially designed to deal with this cause.

During sleep the jaw can fall backward, restricting the airway. This means all the air that you breathe in is being forced through a very small opening. The force of the air through this small opening causes vibrations in the throat tissue. Snoring is the result of these vibrations. Keeping the jaw forward while asleep may help reduce, if not altogether stop, your snoring.

An special anti snoring pillow is made of a form-holding foam that helps you sleep in the right position. The contours of the pillow keep the jaw forward and the chin raised away from the chest, both of which help to open the airway. The more room air has to pass into the lungs, the fewer vibrations are made which means less snoring.

If a special pillow doesn’t completely solve your snoring problem, then using it in conjunction with another snoring remedy may be the answer to your problem. Other factors that can contribute to the problem of snoring are poor diet, lack of exercise, being overweight, and alcohol consumption. Eating properly, exercising regularly, and possibly losing a little weight may help ease snoring. Alcohol consumption can lead to the throat muscles relaxing, which restricts the airway and causes the vibrations.

Avoiding alcohol before bed can help you avoid some of the circumstances that lead to snoring. Combining these strategies with a snore no more pillow may stop your snoring entirely. If you find that the medical anti snore pillow reduces but does not eliminate your snoring, and you sleep on your back, try sleeping on your side.

Another strategy to use in conjunction with your snoring pillow is to raise the head of the bed about 4 inches. This may help open the airways through proper body position which can further reduce, if not completely eliminate, snoring.

Movie Reviews : What’s So Special About These Anyway

June 27th, 2009 by stu pendous | Comments Off | Filed in Fishing Tackle

Movie reviews are basically an opinion passed about new movies by someone who is qualified to objectively assess a movie from an artistic standpoint. The film critic, as he is known, should also be able to judge about the moral suitability of the movie. He should be able to analyze the way the film is likely to influence societal values.

Broken down into its elements a movie review first discusses the plot without going into details. In the process the film reviewer gives his opinion on how interesting and logical the movie plot is. Then he discusses the performances of the various actors in the movie. How real were they and whether they were convincing in their roles? He is also supposed to say something about the sound, photography and editing.

In the process of reviewing a movie the film critic should be careful in not giving away too much of the plot or the various surprises and twists in the film. That way the review reader could become a potential moviegoer.

It is also the job of movie reviews to enlighten the people on aspects of a good movie. He should make it clear to the reader why does he think a certain movie is not all that good and why does he think a certain movie good. He should appear at all times unbiased in his appraisal of a movie.

However, movie reviewing remains a hazardous business since it is after all the opinion of one person. Then again movie making involves so many functions and disciplines that rating all of them to pass a judgment is an onerous task for the best of movie reviewers. Mistakes will be made but an experienced reviewer of integrity is certainly more reliable than run of the mill types.

And with the advent of readily downloadable movies these days, you could just read a review of almost any movie online, download it within a few minutes and watch it right on your computer !
